The timeline is as follows:

• Nominations Starts – Monday, 01/07/2024 (1400 hours)
• Last date of filing nominations – Wednesday, 31/07/2024
• Scrutiny and announcement of valid candidates and intimations of outcome to all candidates - Tuesday, 06/08/2024
• Last date of withdrawal – Tuesday, 13/08/2024
• Intimation of final list of all contesting candidates to all GSI members – Saturday, 17/08/2024
• Period of Elections – Monday, 16/09/2024 (0600 hours) to Monday, 23/09/2024 (0559 hours)
• Deadline for modification of member’s personal data on the GSI website for voting purposes Saturday 31/08/2024

 

Announcement of Results –Saturday, 28/09/2024 during AGM by Election Commissioners

Filing of nominations and conduct of elections will be held online only. No offline/ physical nomination forms will be accepted. There will be no physical on site voting.

Please Note: (Candidates should read it very carefully)

• The filing of Nomination form has to be completed “online”. Final submission has to be done by the candidates themselves. However, please note that final submission will not be possible unless “proposer” and “seconder” have registered their response. The onus of getting consent from the “proposer” and “seconder” lies exclusively on the candidate. To avoid any delay or mishap, please get the formalities completed in all respects well before the deadline. It is mandatory for the candidates to have recorded/ updated their correct email ID, mobile number and the postal address on the GSI website, www.glaucomasociety.in before filing their nomination. The candidates are also requested to ensure that the correct email ID and mobile number of their “proposer” and “seconder” are recorded/ updated on the GSI website before they file their nomination, because an automatic mail will be generated and sent to them for their response.
• If the current email ID and mobile number of the “proposer” and “seconder” is not recorded on the GSI website at the time of filing the nomination form by the candidates, the system will not accept them as proposer or seconder.
• All email IDs and Mobile Numbers of voters should be updated latest by Monday, 31/08/2024. Any change or modification in email ID and mobile number after this date will not be valid for the purpose of voting for “GSI Election 2024”.
• Members’ data cannot be updated/ entered by the candidate in the nomination form at the time of filing the nomination.
• Please read thoroughly, the eligibility criteria and other guidelines for various posts, “proposer” and “seconder” for GSI Election 2024 purpose. It is recommended that candidates should also read the Bye Laws carefully.
